ADMISSIONS

 Aaron's Hope, NC accepts teen boys on an individual basis. Much prayer and consideration is given to each applicant. Generally speaking, we accept troubled teen boys with mild to moderate emotional and/or behavioral problems such as defiant behavior, anger issues, anxiety, depression, use of drug or alcohol, lying, stealing, social or academic problems, expulsion from school, issues relating to past abuse, etc.  

Teen Requirements

  • Teenage boys, ages 13-17 (and 18 year olds still in high school)
  • Must reside within 100 miles of AHNC
  • Mild to moderate emotional and/or behavioral problems
  • No alcohol or drug dependency
  • No active suicidal or homicidal threats
  • No history of sexual offending behavior or sexual perpetration
  • No history of violent offense
  • Must submit to the guidelines of the Residential Handbook
  • Ability to complete the prog

Parent Requirements

  • Must reside within 100 miles of AHNC
  • Must attend weekly counseling sessions and weekly parenting classes
  • Must provide a home for the teenager every other weekend, holidays, and breaks
  • Must submit to the guidelines of the Parent and Residential Handbook
  • Must consistently pay their teen’s tuition based on pre-arranged terms determined by a sliding scale

Intake Process

  • Phone interview 
  • Complete Application & Release of Informed Consent Form 
  • Face to face meeting with Counselor 
  • Additional information gathered and reviewed by Staff
  •  Meet rest of staff and tour facilities 
  • Admission into program
